Privacy notice

Viamitra is run by Messe Asia Co., Ltd. (company registration 0105569070485), Bhiraj Tower at BITEC, Room 23030-02, 23rd Floor, 4345 Sukhumvit Road, Bangna Tai, Bangna, Bangkok 10260, Thailand. Messe Asia Co., Ltd. is the data controller. Write to hello@viamitra.com about anything on this page.

For people in the EU: we will appoint a representative in the EU under Article 27 of the GDPR, and name them on this page, before we work with buyers there.

• Business contact details: your name, role, work email, phone number, LINE ID and preferred language.
• Information about your company, such as its registration, certificates and products. This is mostly not personal data, and we keep it separate from data about people.
• What happens around meetings: proposed and agreed times, whether the meeting took place, and a short private note on how it went. Private notes never contain prices or competitors' figures and are never shown to the other side.
• Sign-in data: one-time codes, stored only as a hash, and a session record while you're signed in.
• Technical data: your IP address, used to protect sign-in and forms from abuse and kept in our audit log for staff actions.
• Visit counts: daily totals of which public pages were viewed, which site linked to them and the country the request came from. No cookies, no IP address and nothing that identifies you is stored for this.
• Verification evidence: documents and site photos. People are photographed only with their written consent.

From you, from your colleagues when they add you as a contact, and from the verifier for your industry. We don't buy contact lists, and we don't use lists whose sources we can't account for.

• To run your membership or your sourcing request (contract, or steps you asked for before one): briefs, shortlists, meetings, reminders, deal rooms, invoices and refunds.
• To introduce business contacts (legitimate interests): sharing your company's information with the other side before an introduction, and your own contact details only after both sides agree to meet.
• To keep the service safe (legitimate interests): rate limits, bot checks and an audit trail of staff actions.
• To meet legal duties (legal obligation): tax, accounting and anti-corruption records.
• When you choose to (consent): for example, sharing your details with a government agency that co-funds a membership. You can withdraw consent at any time.

• The other side of an introduction, once you have both agreed to meet.
• The independent verifier for your industry, for the facts they check.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the service, its database and file storage, and sends our email.
• Google, which hosts the desk's mailbox.
• A co-funding agency, only with your consent.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell personal data and we don't use advertising or tracking tools.

Our database and files are held by Cloudflare in its Asia-Pacific region, and the service is run from Thailand. When personal data about people in the EU is transferred to us, we use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Sign-in codes: deleted within a day. Sessions end after 30 days.
• Contact details: while you or your company work with us, then deleted on request or when no longer needed.
• Sourcing requests sent through this site that don't lead to an introduction: deleted six months after they arrive.
• Membership, invoice and refund records: as long as Thai tax and accounting law requires.
• When we delete a person, we keep company-level and ledger records that contain no personal data.

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Write to hello@viamitra.com; we answer within 30 days.

You can also complain to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee or, in the EU, to the supervisory authority where you live or work.

We don't send cold marketing email. We write to people who asked to hear from us, or who are part of an introduction they agreed to.

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes, and members are told by email about anything that affects them.
